Acceptance of terms

By using DevToolKit, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or its tools.

Service description

DevToolKit provides online tools for PDFs, images, developer utilities, and everyday tasks. Forty-three tools perform core processing in the browser, two tools use server-backed processing (Background Remover and PDF Editor & Signer), and one tool uses external preview requests (YouTube Thumbnail Downloader).

Tool availability, limits, labels, and behavior may change as the product evolves.

Current and planned features

Basic tools are available without an account today. Pro, Business, API billing, saved history, team workflows, and public API keys are planned but not generally live unless explicitly announced for a specific early-access channel.

Pricing and API pages describe planned offerings and are not checkout or production API contracts.

No-account basic access

You may use basic tools without creating an account. You remain responsible for the files, text, and content you process.

User responsibilities

Review tool outputs before sharing, signing, submitting, or publishing them.

Use tools only for lawful personal, educational, professional, or business tasks you are authorized to perform.

Protect credentials and secrets when using developer tools. DevToolKit is not responsible for secrets you paste into tool inputs.

Authorized document and file use

You may only process files, text, images, and documents you own or have permission to edit, convert, analyze, or distribute.

Do not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing, or unauthorized content.

PDF protection and unlocking

PDF Unlocker removes protection only when you know the password or have authorization to remove it. DevToolKit does not provide password cracking or unauthorized access to protected documents.

YouTube thumbnails and third-party content

YouTube Thumbnail Downloader retrieves publicly reachable thumbnail images from Google’s CDN. Accessibility of a thumbnail does not grant ownership, licensing, or reuse permission for that image or video.

You are responsible for complying with YouTube’s terms, copyright law, and any third-party rights before reusing thumbnails or other content.

Visual signature marks

PDF Editor & Signer can place visual signature marks on PDF pages. These marks are not automatically cryptographic digital signatures, identity verification, audit trails, or legally compliant e-signature workflows unless you independently verify compliance for your jurisdiction and use case.

Developer and security-sensitive data

Developer tools may accept JSON, tokens, regular expressions, hashes, and other sensitive text. Most developer tools run in the browser, but you should still avoid entering production secrets unless you understand and accept the processing label shown on the tool page.

Prohibited use

You may not use DevToolKit to attack systems, distribute malware, bypass security without authorization, violate laws, infringe intellectual property, or interfere with other users.

Automated abuse, excessive requests, and attempts to bypass rate limits are prohibited.

Tool-output limitations

Outputs may contain errors, omissions, formatting changes, metadata changes, compression artifacts, OCR mistakes, time-zone or calendar convention differences, or floating-point rounding differences.

PDF edits may invalidate existing digital signatures. Conversions may not preserve every feature of the original file. Thumbnail availability depends on YouTube/CDN behavior.

DevToolKit does not guarantee accuracy, legal validity, medical suitability, financial suitability, or fitness for professional compliance review.

External and server-backed services

Server-backed tools transmit data to configured DevToolKit services and may use external providers such as remove.bg when enabled on the server. External-preview tools contact third-party CDNs directly from your browser.

Third-party availability, logging, and policies are outside DevToolKit’s direct control.

Developer and API use

The public DevToolKit API is not currently available for production use. Internal application endpoints exist for the website but are not a supported public developer contract.

If a public API launches later, usage limits, authentication, credits, and acceptable use rules will apply separately.

Availability and changes

DevToolKit may limit usage, file sizes, queue depth, or feature access to protect reliability.

Service availability may change for maintenance, abuse prevention, or infrastructure limits.

Intellectual property

DevToolKit’s website content, branding, and tool interfaces are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of DevToolKit materials to you.

You retain responsibility for rights to content you supply and for how you use generated outputs.

Advertising and third-party content

DevToolKit may show third-party advertisements, including Google AdSense when enabled in deployment, to support free tools. Ad content is provided by third parties and does not constitute an endorsement by DevToolKit.

When ads are active, third-party ad technology may use cookies or similar technologies subject to consent requirements and applicable law.

Do not click ads expecting them to be site navigation, downloads, or tool actions. Use labeled tool controls for uploads, processing, and downloads.

Limitation of liability

DevToolKit is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevToolKit is not liable for losses, damages, errors, interruptions, or issues resulting from use of the website or generated outputs.

Termination or access restriction

DevToolKit may restrict or discontinue access for abuse, legal risk, or operational reasons.

Changes

These Terms may be updated when the service changes. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent material revision.
