HEIC to JPG Converter

HEIC to JPG decodes a still HEIC/HEIF photo and writes a JPEG. It is not a general Image Converter input.

• Use this when the camera file is HEIC/HEIF.
• After you have a JPG, use Compressor, Resizer, or Converter for further raster work.
• Image Converter does not take HEIC on its allow list; this page is the HEIC path.

• Turn an iPhone .heic into a JPG that email or Windows Photo can open.
• Use Balanced 85 for a typical share, or High quality 92 when you still need to print.
• Cap max width/height so the JPG is a downscaled still, never an upscale.

convertHeicBlob calls heic2any. If max width/height change the size, resizeJpegBlob draws the JPEG to a canvas and re-encodes JPEG. JPEG has no alpha.

1. Upload one HEIC or HEIF file.
2. Confirm the preview dimensions.
3. Pick a quality preset or the slider.
4. Optionally cap max width and/or max height.
5. Click Convert to JPG.
6. Open the JPG; do not judge final quality from the light preview decode.

Live/burst containers: only result[0] is kept. HDR, depth, and HEIC metadata are not described as copied. Browser support for heic2any WASM/decode can fail on some engines.

• Not a video converter.
• Empty files rejected.
• Downscale only if max dimensions are set.

heic2any runs in the browser. The HEIC is not posted to a conversion API. Identified analytics may include byte counts and output dimensions, not the photo pixels or GPS from the HEIC container.

• Open the JPG on a device that cannot show HEIC.
• Do not judge final quality from the 0.35 preview decode.
• Check color on a calibrated screen if it matters.
• Keep the HEIC if you need the original container, depth, or extra live frames.
